Bespoke Tailored Programmes & Workshops

The programmes and workshops are preventative, proactive, and reactive, tackling underlying issues. They aim to meet the young individual’s risks and needs and empower, motivate, and develop resilience among young individuals.

 

An awareness programme and workshop are short ‘capsule’ sessions that raise awareness for young individuals, The session is conducted in 1-2-1 sessions or a group setting in person or remote.

 

An intermediate 4-week bespoke tailored programmes and workshops for young individuals assessed as low risk. The sessions are conducted in 1-2-1 sessions or group settings in person or remote.

 

An intensive 8-week bespoke tailored programmes and workshops for young individuals assessed as medium risk. The sessions are conducted in 1-2-1 sessions or group settings in person or remote.

 

Advanced 12-week bespoke tailored programmes and workshops for young individuals assessed as having a higher risk. The sessions are conducted in 1-2-1 sessions or group settings in person or remote.

 

TRAINING PACKAGES

 

Training Structure: The training will involve interactive presentations, group discussions, case studies, guest speakers, and practical exercises. The training will be conducted in 1-2-1 sessions or a group setting with no more than 20 participants in person or remote.

 

Target Audience: This training is designed for professionals and caregivers working with vulnerable young individuals, including social workers, educators, psychologists, counsellors, foster parents, and residential care staff. It is also suitable for policymakers, advocates, and other professional working with young individuals.

 

Duration:  The training will be conducted over one or two hours, half a day or a full day with sessions divided into interactive modules to facilitate engagement and learning. 

 

Awareness Training (approximately 1-2 hours),

By participating in this training, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to provide compassionate and effective support to vulnerable individuals facing or at risk of social exclusion. Together, we can work towards creating more supportive and inclusive environments for young individuals.

1-2-1 Consultation

The consultation allows young individuals to discuss their challenge in a 1-2-1 meeting. The aim is to identify the risk and protective factors so that a robust programme can be in place to reduce the risk of social exclusion.

Behaviour & Social Skills (BSS)

Developing strong behaviour and social skills is crucial for young individuals as it lays the foundation for their personal and professional success. These skills empower them to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and navigate various social situations. Additionally, good behaviour and social competence contribute to emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability, which is essential traits for a well-rounded and successful life. These skills enhance interpersonal interactions but also play a vital role in academic achievement and future career opportunities. Overall, fostering positive behaviour and social skills in young Individuals is instrumental in shaping their overall well-being and contributes to a thriving society.

Building Confidence & Self-Esteem (BCSE)

Through activities and strategies, this programme or workshop will enhance young individuals’ personal or professional lives by building a solid sense of self-worth and confidence. It will give them the tools to develop a positive self-image and the confidence to achieve their goals. Young individuals will gain the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and a positive mindset. The program focuses on various aspects of personal development, including self-reflection, skill-building, wellness practices, and forming positive relationships. Here’s how the program works:

Offenders Rehabilitation Programme (ORP)

Offender rehabilitation focuses on helping individuals who have committed crimes to reintegrate into society successfully. This involves various programmes and workshops to address the root causes of criminal behaviour, provide education and vocational training, and promote psychological and behavioural changes. The goal is to reduce recidivism by equipping offenders with the skills and support necessary for a law-abiding life. Successful offender rehabilitation contributes to the well-being of the individuals involved, community safety, and the overall criminal justice system’s effectiveness.

Pathway 2 Success (P2S)

Employment, education, and training form a crucial triad for the holistic development of young people. Education lays the foundation, equipping them with knowledge and skills. Employment provides practical application of those skills, fostering independence and financial stability. Training bridges the gap, offering specialised skills aligned with market demands. This interconnected approach enhances youth employability, economic empowerment, and contributes to societal progress by creating a skilled workforce. Prioritising comprehensive support in these areas is vital for unlocking the full potential of young individuals and ensuring their successful transition to adulthood.

Pathway 2 Success (P2S)

Entrepreneurship empower young individuals by fostering a mindset of innovation, initiative, and autonomy. Engaging in entrepreneurial endeavours allows them to create their own opportunities, contribute to economic growth, and cultivate valuable skills such as problem-solving and risk management. It provides an alternative to traditional employment, promoting flexibility and creativity. Moreover, entrepreneurship nurtures a spirit of resilience and adaptability, crucial in today’s dynamic job market. Encouraging and supporting young individual in entrepreneurial pursuits not only benefits individuals but also contributes to a thriving and diverse economy.

Positive Healthy Relationship (PHR)

Domestic violence involves harmful behaviours within intimate relationships, encompassing physical, emotional, psychological, and financial abuse. Building positive and healthy relationships, on the other hand, is centred on mutual respect, effective communication, and empathy. This involves recognising and addressing the root causes of domestic violence, promoting open dialogue, and fostering a supportive environment. Education on healthy relationship dynamics is crucial, emphasising consent, boundaries, and shared decision-making. Creating awareness and providing resources for young individuals as perpetrators of domestic violence is essential for breaking the cycle and promoting a society where respectful and supportive relationships are the norm.

 

 

Resisting Peer Pressure (RPP)

Peer pressure is the influence exerted by one’s peers to conform to their attitudes, behaviours, or expectations. It can be both positive, encouraging constructive actions, or negative, leading individuals to engage in risky or undesirable behaviours. Peer pressure is a significant factor, especially during adolescence, impacting decision-making, social relationships, and personal development. Awareness and the development of strong decision-making skills are essential in fostering positive peer interactions.

Serious Youth Violence & Exploitation (SYVE)

Serious youth violence is a complex issue involving harmful actions, such as severe physical, psychological, and emotional harm or even death. It often stems from various factors, including socio-economic challenges, family dynamics, educational challenges, community exposure to gangs or criminal influences and others. Serious youth violence affects the victim and the victim’s family, the perpetrators, their families, and the broader community. Understanding and addressing these issues is crucial for creating safer communities and providing support systems that help young individuals navigate challenges and make positive choices.

 

UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOUR CHALLENGES (UBC)

Understanding and addressing the behavioural challenges faced by foster children, children in care, and care leavers is paramount for their well-being and successful transition into adulthood. This training delves into the dynamics of their behaviour, shedding light on the diverse factors influencing it. By exploring the impact of early experiences, trauma, and societal factors, we aim to equip caregivers, foster parents and support networks with the knowledge and tools necessary to provide compassionate and effective interventions.

 

VIOLENCE AGAISNT WOMEN, GIRLS (VAWG), MEN, AND BOYS

Violence against women and girls, as well as men and boys, encompasses a range of harmful behaviours that can manifest physically, sexually, emotionally, mentally, psychologically, or economically. It includes domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment, human trafficking, and harmful traditional practices. Addressing this complex issue requires a comprehensive approach involving education, legal framework, support services, and cultural change to create a society free from such violence.
